The charitable foundation “Energy of Victory of Ukraine,” in collaboration with the Ukrainian Football Association, implemented a project to support war veterans and their families. As part of the project, three trips were organized to Euro 2024 matches held in Munich, Stuttgart, and Düsseldorf.

This initiative was realized thanks to the financial support of German energy companies, which provided comfortable travel conditions for the participants.

The delegation included families of fallen heroes, active military personnel, veterans, and orphaned children who lost their parents due to the war. A special moment was the realization of dreams of deceased football fans by their relatives who traveled to Germany to honor their memory. Among the participants were defenders of Mariupol, former prisoners of war, and veterans with severe injuries who are currently undergoing rehabilitation in German clinics. The presence of these brave individuals at the matches underscored the importance of supporting Ukraine, reminding everyone of the heroism of our defenders. They once again proved that sports cannot be separate from politics and that achievements in every direction are essential steps towards victory. Additionally, the trips included the wives and mothers of imprisoned and missing soldiers, and the youngest participants were orphaned children currently residing in Germany.

The purpose of the trip was not only to fulfill dreams and support Ukrainian military personnel and their relatives but also to draw the international community’s attention to the war in Ukraine. An important part of the project was a media campaign aimed at reminding people about the war in Ukraine and its consequences.

For us, it is valuable to be part of such significant social projects, and we will continue to work towards the victory of Ukraine. The project was an important step in spreading the truth about the war in Ukraine. Despite all the difficulties, we are confident of victory!
